Four Ways to Use Your Depression

Depression can be an overwhelming force to be reckoned if one does not allow themselves to grab a hold of the moment and conquer depression in a way or another. However, as much as depression can be too overwhelming, it can be very useful. A breakup, for instance, could be terrifying and outrageous. People lose their faith when they go through divorces and they see the world apocalyptic. They tend to ignore the fact that it might be the best for the ones they have loved for a long time and they think that it would be the end for them.
But once depression can be deadly, you can remove the negativity and replace it with positivity. For instance, crying seems to carry a lot of disappointment; however, it is very healthy. And so is depression when you use it the right way.
1.      Art:
       Whenever depression gets the best out of you, you can mix it out with art; whether you will paint a portrait, write a novel or compose some music, depression does indeed put you in the right mindset for that. For a writer, I have written my favorite pieces when I was depressed and I tend to see them as my personal masterpieces.
       The mere switch of energy when you allow your depression to conclude in art is always going to be successful. It might carry out some negative energy in the piece, but that for the artist to decide.
2.     Write:
         Many of us have no artistic talents but that is alright for there are other things that you could do. Such as writing hate letters. Yes, this can be outrageous to the person whom you are writing this to, but nobody told you to send those letters to them. Whenever art does not stand by my side, I write a hate letter and burn it to ashes because I allow my negative energy to gain a little bit of positivity when I put it in words. Even scribbling does that.
3.     Physical work:
         Working out has a completely different taste when you allow hatred and rage to get along with it. If love can make you carry 20 extra pounds when you do a deadlift, hatred will make you carry a hundred extra. You will definitely realize that the depression sinks whenever you allow it in your body and outside of your head and instead, you will be full of motivation.
4.     Talking:
          The most selfish act you would do when you are depressed is to keep it all of yourself. There are many people who would not want extra burdens on their shoulders but in return, there are many who need a little bit of that negative energy to apply it in the things they do.
Depression can make you weak or it can make you very strong. You might prove to the person who caused that depression that you are the weak person whom they thought you would be or you might prove that it was a huge mistake for them to cause you that pain. It's all up to you.
