How
many times have each of us either referred to, or heard others refer
to, how important it is to believe in yourself? While rhetorically most
people say they believe in themselves, the reality of the situation is
often far different. True self - belief is perhaps one of the most
powerful personal motivators, in that it strengthens our positive
attitude, creates a "believe you can" mindset, and evolves us into the
type of individual that we aspire to be. The end result of maintaining
the highest level of personal standards and ethics, and truly being
able to be proud of what you believe in, is an all - inspiring level of
self belief that results in propelling us forward in a positive and
inspiring manner.
1. What is an authentic positive attitude, and why is it such an impactful force in the overall direction that we live? Being positive does not mean wearing rose - colored glasses, or simply always claiming that everything is either great, or merely impulsively responding when others ask how we are by saying, "Never better." True positivity is a mindset where the focus is always on ways of getting things done, rather than worrying and compulsing about what went wrong! When we focus on addressing challenges rather than perceiving of problems, we reduce our level of worrying and convert it to a progressive action plan. If you think you can, half of the battle is won! We must replace problematic thinking with thinking of ways to proceed.
2. Do you believe you can, and act accordingly, or do you believe it can't be done, and let your defeatist beliefs control you? Self - belief replaces believing something is impossible with acceptance of the improbable, but doable! The power of possibility thinking may be one of the strongest forces that impact our results.
3. Do your actions, behaviors, standards, and ethics make you proud of yourself, or do they indicate a weakness, etc? Do you maintain the highest standards on a consistent, regular and daily basis, or do you try to show these standards to others, although you are not truly committed to that level of behavior?
If you were to draw a vertical line down the middle of a page, would your belief in your worthiness outweigh your doubts and inconsistencies? Only when our self - belief is both genuine and deserved, does it become one of the strongest natural forces that creates a level of self esteem that permits us to be the best that we can be.
