Learn To Laugh More

Whether you are interested in leading an organization, a business, or simply getting a better handle on self - direction, there is little doubt that having a sense of humor is an extraordinarily powerful asset and trait. Humorless leaders take themselves far too seriously, and this often causes a necessary disconnect in terms of developing human bonds. In addition, when one refuses to laugh, and especially to occasionally laugh at himself, he creates an over - concentration on negative energies, and relies far too little on the human aspects of effective and meaningful leadership. There are numerous reasons that anyone wanting to excel as a leader should evaluate how humor might impact his potential success.

1. Humor creates a can - do mindset, because rather than focusing on the behaviors and even negative behaviors of those around him, it lets someone avoid that negativity and see absurdities as precisely that. By doing this, one is able to avoid the far too often fixation on blaming others for their perceived faults, poor behaviors, or actions, and rather maintaining a perspective permitting an extraordinary degree of personal growth and positive reflection.

2. When you are able and willing to laugh rather than being serious always, it enhances your mood and potentiates ones ability to focus on what needs to be done. When more time is spent doing than blaming, it invariably makes someone and his organization stronger, better, more likeable, and far more capable.

3. A sense of humor generally attracts others to you to a far greater degree. It does so by utilizing the positive forces of the Laws of Attraction, by making an individual more attractive to those around him. Humor also tends to make actions more fun, and often makes a point that otherwise might not be even considered. The most impactful humor invariably teaches us important lessons, but does so in a more low key and fun matter. Would you prefer being around someone without a sense of humor who often takes himself far too seriously? Or, would you prefer spending time with some with a sense of humor, who clearly indicates his willingness to try to connect and to listen to your needs? Truly, those with the more positive approach, often are more willing to look at alternatives, and not believe that there is only one way to do anything. There are always many routes that can be taken to accomplish essential goals.

Pay attention to your attitude, mood, words and approach to humor. Laugh more and improve your results.
